I have read several of the books from the Dare River series & thoroughly enjoyed each one. This one is a dedication of strong women & families that survive domestic abuse. I know that sounds like the book would be a real downer, but that isn’t true at all it’s actually more of a triumph that celebrates the women brave enough to get out of that situation & truly make a life for themselves & their children. I highly recommend this book.

Excellent book with a heartbreaking story. I love romance novels but this book has so much than that. I am not a person that normally cries with movies or stories but I was so moved but the story that I couldn't help myself I had tears running as I read. Highly recommend this book as well as the other two in the series. My compliments to the writer.

"Fireflies and Magnolias" is a beautiful story, bringing to light an all-too-frequent travesty in our world: domestic violence. Ms. Miles did a wonderful job weaving romance with the heart-breaking situations that occur every single day but are too often swept under the rug. She provided inspiration by sharing the triumphs of women who escaped their lives of domestic terror. Reading this book did not send me into gales of laughter or sobbing (almost) uncontrollably like many of the author's other books; but it left me feeling inspired, hopeful, and determined to help make a better future for those that have been victims of domestic violence.
